Say What!

“I really have to give a lot of credit to Greg Wilson…he really could have done it (last lap slider) a lot worse and he raced us clean. He gets as much credit as we do. He could have made that real ugly and I couldn’t stop if I wanted to,” said Cap Henry winning at Attica OH.

"We unloaded early and went out for one hot lap...and we just parked it, We didn't know anything else we could do to make it better. We put three new tires on before the heat race and went like hell." " said Shane Butler, who was also celebrating his birthday in victory lane at Desoto Speedway FL.

“I had no idea, if I had known I probably would have done some donuts or something,” Michael Bonneau winning Dodge City KS USAC Southwest and not knowing it.

‘I don’t even know what to say right. To win here is amazing to me. I don’t usually get around here very good, I know we had some attrition which helped but we were pretty good. I hated robbing Russel (Borland) of his first win but it’s man been a long tome time since I won”, said a relieved Reinke. “I have to thank my crew and sponsors for this and my family, they are always there cheering for me no matter what”, concluded Mike Reinke winning Wilmot WI IRA Sprints.

"They gave me a great racecar all night long, We've probably been here four times since I've been in this car and left with our tails between our legs every time and they just never give up. The best part about this crew is that they can get mad about our finish and how we do but they just don't give up. We came back and tried something completely different." "Thanks to (Kale Kahne), (Kolten Gouse), Michael Carber, (Ty Dent) - these guys just worked their tails off and gave me a great car and luckily we were able to hold off for 40 laps." "This is a great win for me personally and this whole team."  Daryn Pittman winning Grand forks ND World of Outlaws

  • Ken “Wags” Wagner reaches a tough decision and retires from collecting racer $$$$! It is with much regret that I announce my retirement in helping the low buck racers at every CRA race. That said, my 25 plus years in a quest to help them is done. I am retiring my Wagtimes efforts because it is time. It was an incredible ride and now I must say goodbye! My tough decision is due to a lot of important changes in my life, not the least of which is I don’t live near So Cal any more where my heart is, and will always be, with the CRA. It was a joy doing all the Wags stuff over the years, and looking back, I couldn’t have done anything more satisfying in my life, other than being married to Mrs Wags for 40 years. I don’t know how it all started, but our success was due to the great many “helpers” along the way. Thank you to all who got involved in the over $615,000 of Wagsbucks that “WE” collected and handed out to the racers. The biggest thanks go to the Wagtimer’s whose support was unending! I am very proud of what we accomplished and will cherish my friendships forever. Thank you……………………… see you along the racing trail! 8/20

"(Competition Director) Tommie Estes and I talked about how we could bridge the gap between the two weekends and we feel that a midweek show helps the racers and the fans," Cocopah Speedway Promoter Greg Burgess said. After leading all 25 laps of the American Sprint Car Series race Isaac Schreurs, who lost the use of his legs at age 14, pulled into victory lane. But unlike other victory lane photos, the driver didn’t quickly exit the car. Instead, with the crowd on its feet, a four-wheeler appeared with Schreurs father appeared from the pits. Rushing to the side of his son’s car, the elder Schreurs leapt off the back and reached into the cockpit and scooped his son up in his arms. Then, father and son went around to the front of the car where the crowd roared its approval to the young twenty one year old. In doing so, Schreurs became the first paraplegic to win a major sprint car race.Press Releases8/18

  • Knoxville Raceway IA)For the third time, Daryn Pittman found Victory Lane in the Speed Sport World Challenge with a late race pass on Tim Kaeding.
