It turns out that when impact forces, load you into the bottom of the seat, with your spine so perfectly aligned by the seat, that your back bones can be compressed until they fracture or break. The weight of your head, helmet and body, HAMMER your spine into the hard seat bottom in 1/10th of a second, creating a huge force spike. If you can double that time, you can cut the force in half. The CRASH PAD gives you the space to stop your downward motion and the Right Compression Resistance to reduce Spinal Impact Forces and spread the impact over time. Your seat's more comfortable too.
