- BOSS)The first of two BOSS doubleheader weekends
in 2013 is scheduled for this Friday and Saturday, May 24th and 25th with
appearances at Wayne County Speedway in Orrville, Ohio and Mercer Raceway
Park in Mercer, Pennsylvania. These events will make up rounds #2 and 3 of
the 14 round BOSS heavyweight title fight. Coming off a great season opener
with a strong 40 car field, BOSS officials expect excellent car counts both
nights with plenty of track locals looking to knock off sprint car racing's

2013, Temecula’s Mike Spencer claimed the $2,500 victory at Tulare’s Merle
Stone Chevrolet Thunderbowl Raceway. With five official lead changes, the
five-time champion took control from Ryan Bernal on lap twenty-seven and
earned his 34th career Amsoil USAC/CRA Sprint Car win. Bernal, “Hollywood”

Motorsports Sprint Car racing team driven by Travis Jacobson was in action
again Saturday May 18th at Skagit Speedway one week removed from an historic
win in the inaugural Summer Thunder Sprintcar Series race. This time the
team had the Shark 410 in the car and was competing against the biggest
weekly field of 410’s in some time. Results were not much different from the
first two weeks with the exception of a rare third fast time in qualifying.

County Fair Speedway in New York, after rain on Sunday, May 19 pushed the

starting spot in the 25-lap main event at the sprawling 5/8-mile to lead the
entire distance to record his first World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series
win of the 2013 season aboard the Casey’s General Store/Mesilla Valley

winning the first of two ‘twin-25’ main events at the Attica Raceway Park in
Attica, Ohio on Friday, May 17th. The Fremont/Attica Sprint Title (F.A.S.T.)
sanctioned victory was the first of Danny Holtgraver’s young career. The
former Lernerville Speedway ‘410’ track champion has visited Attica Raceway
Park victory lane once before; that coming during UNOH All Star Circuit of

World of Outlaws hit the clay at Orange County Fair Speedway, the oldest
continuously operating dirt track in the United States. Team owner Dan
Motter drew the No. 1 pill, positioning Joey Saldana in the first hot lap
session and the first out for qualifying. Saldana drove the Motter Equipment
Fatheadz Eyewear 71M to the No. 3 qualifying spot, turning his quick lap at

setting a 30-lap track record in doing so. Darren Hagen simply dominated the

Sprint Cars started the weekend early with a Thursday night World of
Outlaws show at Lincoln Speedway. The show was scheduled for Wednesday but
rain changed those plans. Danny Dietrich repeated what he did in last years
Lincoln Speedway World of Outlaws feature by taking the win once again.
Everything moved to Williams Grove Speedway for Friday night where Donny
Schatz, coming from mid pack made a last lap pass of Greg Hodnett for the
victory. After that the rain returned and the Saturday night show at

as the pair swapped the lead a handful of times with wild slide jobs as they

circuits, after passing Hurley in heavy lapped traffic, to pick up his first

to be another great night of open wheel racing at Ventura Raceway. The
second of four Battle at the Beach VRA/USAC Midget races presented by ARP

the opening lap of the Auto Value Bumper to Bumper Super Sprints feature

Western Performance Parts hosted its 5th event of the 2013 race schedule. 10
Midgets signed into Ukiah Speedway Saturday night on a beautiful spring
evening. Darin Snider of nearby Lakeport California had a fantastic evening
as he swept the evenings events, setting quick time, winning his heat and

- URSS)Ty Williams would rather forget the start to
the night. What he'd like to focus on is the finish. And what a finish it
was for the sprint car driver in the United Rebel Sprint Series. Williams, a
former URSS national champ, won at the line Saturday night at Lamar Speedway

- Badger)Darren Hagen won the 30-lap Stark
Automotive Group/Mid-State Equipment Badger Midget Series feature, Sunday
Night at Angell Park Speedway. Hagen completed the event in 7 minutes and 57
seconds, besting the track record set by Brad Kuhn on June 26, 2011, by over
seven seconds. Brady Bacon jumped into the lead at the start, and quickly
increased his lead over the field to a straightaway advantage by Lap 5.
Bacon continued to increase his lead each lap, while Andrew Fleker and Hagen

dominated the sprint car world from East to West. On a weekend when several

12th to win at Williams Grove stood out. Making a last lap pass in turn
four, Schatz defeated the PA Posse in exciting fashion, though Greg Hodnett

Series and Orange County Fair Speedway officials were forced to postpone
Sunday’s event after a steady rain pushed through the area and drenched the
track. With more rain in the forecast on Sunday, officials decided to delay
the event to Monday. All event times remain the same for Monday. Spectator
gates are scheduled to open at 4 p.m. with racing on track set to begin at 6
p.m. Entering Monday’s action, Daryn Pittman sits atop the championship
point standings with 3,263 points and holds a 145-point lead over Paul
McMahan. Donny Schatz’s season seems to have turned a corner as a string of
strong finishes, including a thrilling victory Friday night at Williams
Grove Speedway, has launched him up the standings and now trails McMahan by

putting on a show after having to run a hurry up show dodging rain the whole
day. Practice and time trials kicked off the event Friday with East Freedom,

Saturday brought the rain off and on all day and when a window of weather
opened in the afternoon French Grimes made the call to start early to get it

Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania’s Danny Holtgraver capped a fantastic weekend
Saturday at I-77 Raceway Park in Ripley, W. Va., by taking his fourth career
UNOH All Star win. On Friday, Holtgraver won one of the two features at
Attica Raceway Park to add to his King of the 360s win earlier this year in
Florida and an open win at Mercer Speedway a couple of weeks ago.

this weekend and got both scheduled point series races in the books. Friday
night 358 Rookie of the Year contender Robbie Kendell picked up his first
career 358 sprint car win at Trail Way Speedway over Brad McClelland and

gain 5 points on the leader Austin Houge who would finish 5th.

- Fremont Speedway OH)For the second week in a row,
the fans at Fremont Speedway were treated to a thrilling 410 sprint car race
that featured wheel banging, the winner coming from deep in the field and a
late race charge from a rookie. With four laps to go, Brian Smith was trying
to hold off Greg Wilson who had charged from his 18th starting position, and
rookie D.J. Foos as they sliced through lapped traffic. Smith and Wilson
banged wheels entering turn one with Smith spinning into the infield with
front end damage.

unprecedented fourth consecutive week, further delaying the track’s season

burst at 4:30 p.m. washed away all hopes racing for the evening. Attention
now turns to May 24 and the second annual Davey Tabor Memorial, The Valley’s
tribute to a dear friend and sprint enthusiast. Defending champion Brooke
Tatnell will return to defend his title along with the rest of the UMSS
winged sprint series racers. Also part of the Thunder in the Valley series
will be SCVR regular classes, the Future Fours, Pure Stocks, WISSOTA Midwest

Crown race at Lucas Oil Raceway has been cancelled due to the extended
timetable of "Pole Day" qualifying events at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway
and the potential threats of thunderstorms in the area. USAC recognizes the
historical significance of today's motorsports events and is disappointed to
cancel this race but numerous participants in tonight's program, including
the Hall of Fame ceremonies, are also involved at IMS and those ceremonies
would have been severely impacted. Unstable weather in the midwest also has
created thunderstorm possibilities for the area. Options for rescheduling
are being discussed and will be announced when they become firm.5/18

Saturday night, forced the cancellation of the Rislone URC Sprint Series
event at the Delaware International Speedway. The decision to cancel was

Sprint Car Series racers made great strides but still came up short as local
star Danny Dietrich powered to victory in the Gettysburg Clash for the
second consecutive season. Last year it was hard to find an Outlaw in the
top 10 at Lincoln, this time around Donny Schatz pressured Dietrich for the
entire 35 laps before settling for second by about a car length at the

- Double X Speedway MO)The Sunday Night Thunder has
returned to XX Speedway for 2013. A large crowd of spectators and drivers
opened the curtain on the 2013 racing season at Sunday night in California,
MO. The cool weather was no deterrent to Jonathan Cornell of Sedalia, MO as
he wired the field in the 360 Winged Sprint division. Starting in the front
row as a resut of having won his qualifying heat, Cornell hustled around the
high side of the track and was not headed as the 25 lap feature went green

- Danny Reidy)After finishing on the podium in the
past three outings, Danny Reidy’s podium streak came to a crashing end
during last Saturday night’s 12th KRE Sprintcar Series round at Archerfield
Speedway. In what was a racing incident, where he simply ran out of racing
room, Reidy crashed out of the feature race in spectacular fashion in the
early stages of the 30–lap event. He collided with the wall on the main
straight while battling with another car for track space, which then sent
him into a wild crash that saw him come to a stop at the bottom of the

sale for opening night of the 7th Annual USAC National Sprints Eastern Storm
set for the Grandview Speedway on Wednesday night, June 5. The top non-wing

Speedway. The weather just barely cleared out in time for Saturday action to
take place. At Port Royal Speedway Blane Heimbach became the 17th different
series winner for the year. While at Lincoln Speedway Brent Marks took his

up on the outside of the front row for the 30-lap feature alongside Steven

- MSCS)Kevin Thomas Jr. won the MSCS and USAC
co-sanctioned feature Saturday night at Tri-State Speedway. Although Thomas
led most of the 30 lap event in the Dutcher/RW/Tri-Star Sprinter he found
himself under mounting pressure from Robert Ballou in the Baldwin Brothers
Sprint. Both had won their heats! Ballou took the lead on lap 20 of the
feature but lost it back to Thomas on lap 25 as the dual continued. Thomas

- King of the West)On a night paying respect to the
famed Baylands Raceway Park there were a few select cars that everyone
pointed to as sentimental favorites and when all had been settled, one of
them parked in victory lane, as Sacramento’s Willie Croft continued the
hottest start of his career to claim his second KWS 410 win of the year
aboard the Clyde & Marion Lamar owned Tri-C Machine Sprinter.

cut out for him on Saturday night at the famed Knoxville Raceway in Iowa, in
the Mediacom Shootout. Starting 25th on the grid against one of the
strongest fields all year in a World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series event,
he had 25 laps to work his way forward on the famed half-mile. He did
exactly that, improving a total of 14 positions over the course of the race

season this coming weekend, Friday May 17 and Saturday May 18. Racing on

will be 30-laps of racing for a $12,000 prize.

secured his 46th career main event win when he passed Willie Croft while the
two were battling in heavy lapped traffic Friday night at Silver Dollar
Speedway. “I need to thank my dad for working on this motor most of this
week,” said Allard in victory lane. “We came up here to figure it out and we
are close.” Allard also stated, “It’s a pleasure to drive this car for
Morrie and Katie Williams. I have to thank my crew and the entire Williams

the Oklahoma Sports Park that suits Gary Owens just fine when the Oil
Capital Racing Series comes to town. For the second time in five events at
George Welch’s 4/10 mile track, Owens took advantage of his front row
starting spot and became the fifth winner in as many attempts of the Harold
Leep Jr Memorial race. Owens last took checkers at OSP in the fall of 2011
when he won his first OCRS feature event at the Oklahoma State Championship

- I-44 Riverside Speedway OK)Sweeping heat race and
qualifier action, Carls Junction, Missouri’s Andrew Felker earned the pole

- I-90 Speedway SD)Jack Dover led all 25 laps of the
3rd annual Loren Barstad Memorial for Hard Core Speed Shop 360 Sprint Cars
at I-90 Speedway, but Lee Grosz is the driver who will be remembered along
with past winners Mitch Runge and Ryan Bickett. Grosz worked his way up from
13th to an impressive third at the race's end - a good night for any racer.
But his night would get better as the top finishers hit the scale. Dover's
car crossed the scale first. He was disqualified after three checks found
his car too light. Up next was front row starter Gregg Bakker. His car was
also too light. As they say, the third time was the charm as Grosz's 4j was

fourth win of the year driving the Tri-C Motorsports No.3c, a car that

- Fremont Speedway OH)That’s what the fans who
witnessed the non-stop 30-lap 410 sprint feature at Fremont Speedway left
saying Saturday night. Cap Henry, Chris Andrews and Caleb Griffith put on a
phenomenal show on a blustery night, slicing and dicing through lapped
traffic while trading slide jobs. In the end, Henry edged Andrews for his
first career 410 sprint victory at “The Track That Action Built” on Baumann
Auto Group Night. The race featured numerous lead changes all around the

- UMSS)Making their second-ever appearance at the
Elko Speedway, the UMSS Traditional Sprint Car Series (TSCS) raced in front
of one of the largest crowds in track history as the support division during
the World of Outlaws program on Friday night May 10. As he had done in July
of 2011, Johnny Parsons III from Owatonna stayed perfect in feature race
action to grab the season opening victory for the TSCS non-winged sprints
and his second career sprint car win at Elko. Parsons led all 20 laps in the
feature, topping 2011 series champion Kevin Bradwell by 4/10ths of a second
for the victory. Parsons earned $500 for his season opening win and his

- IRA)It’s become far too familiar around the state
of Wisconsin this spring… weather related cancellations of short track
racing events. Unfortunately the Bumper to Bumper IRA Outlaw Sprints have
also seen their share of postponements. The planned IRA event at Wilmot
Raceway planned for Saturday Night, May 11th had to be cancelled due to wet
grounds. A cold and wet spring, coupled with heavy overnight rains made the
track grounds too wet to allow competitors to enter the pit area leaving
raceway officials no choice but to pull the plug on the program.

- World of Outlaws)Tim Kaeding charged to victory in
the FVP Outlaws at Elko on Friday night in a rain-shortened A-main in the
World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series inaugural event at Elko Speedway.
Kaeding started 13th and methodically worked his way to the front, sliding
in front of Kerry Madsen just before a crash brought out a red flag, which
was followed by a steady rain forcing officials to call the race with 34 of

- Wayne County Speedway OH)Overnight rains into the
morning soaked the grounds of NAPA Auto Parts Wayne County Speedway causing
Jason and Kristin Flory to cancel the racing card for Friday night. A
practice session for all cars is set for Tuesday evening from 5 pm to 8 pm

- Trail Way Speedway PA)Several dozen race teams had
checked into the pits on Friday night at Trail-Way Speedway and several kept
their cars in their trailers as the sky darkened. At 6:31 p.m., rain began

pits.. Six minutes later, a downpour followed and, one minute after that,
track officials canceled the program of 358 sprints, 270cc micro sprints,

driver competed in USAC’s TRAXXAS Silver Crown Series at the Indiana State

Hundred unfolds at the one-mile dirt Indianapolis oval on its new date. This
year two female drivers are expected to compete in the 100-mile race which
switches from its traditional Friday date to Thursday prior to the
Indianapolis 500. Taylor Ferns of Shelby Township, Mich. and Miranda

season opener. The IRA Outlaw Sprints are the premier upper-Midwest touring
series and one of the most popular attractions at Wilmot Raceway. The top
teams from all of Wisconsin and northern Illinois will be on hand to tackle
the tricky third-mile clay oval. Joining the IRA Sprints on the evenings
event card will be the Modifieds and Mini Sprints creating a spectacular

ever trip to El Paso Speedway Park in EL Paso, TX on April 12th. Cody and
his Sure Point Medical team were ready to take on the new track on the
schedule. Qualifying 10th put them on the front row of heat 1. With a bobble
on the start Cody fell back to third where he would finish. Adjusting to the
changing race track Cody looked to capitalize on the 30 lap main event. He
was working his was way up when he hit a rut in turn one causing his #4 to
flip wildly in the corner. He would walk away from his destroyed race car

- Daryn Pittman)For the first time the World of
Outlaws made a stop at El Paso Speedway Park in EL Paso, TX on April 12th.
With momentum from a strong West Coast trip Pittman and the whole Great
Clips crew were ready to make the best of the one night event. Starting off
quick out of the gate qualifying 2nd locked them into the dash. Learning
more about the track during the heat they started to have some motor
problems. “We thought we were having a motor going—it was just dying in the
corner. This altitude we’re running at, it’s just not something we’ve done

Eldora Speedway, Factory Kahne shocks got the job done, as Kerry Madsen and
Daryn Pitman pulled off the weekend sweep for FK shocks! After taking the
lead at the halfway point on Friday night, Kerry Madsen rode the high,
scary, side of the Eldora Speedway to pick his first win of the year, and
his first win on Factory Kahne’s.

weekend for Jonathan Swanson and the 17j crew as Friday they will make the
long haul to Bedford Speedway located in western PA. Swanson has visited the
famed 1/2 mile previously when URC attended in August of 2010. Swanson will
be looking for a top finish in his potent 17j URC Sprint Car. On Saturday
night the 17j will travel to the ultra-fast Selinsgrove Speedway for the
Jack Gunn Memorial Race. Swanson will be looking to improve on a 22nd place
finish on opening night. Swanson knows that he has the equipment and the
talent to run up front this weekend and what a great way to get the season

Series invading "The Buckeye State" over the weekend the mighty 410 sprint
car division was idle at both Attica Raceway Park and Fremont Speedway.
Several drivers of the Kistler Racing Products Fremont/Attica Sprint Title (F.A.S.T.)
presented by KS Sales & Service took the opportunity to spend their downtime
with family and friends; however, several did not sit idle over the weekend
and raced around Ohio and Pennsylvania. After the short hiatus, the battle
for the 2013 Kistler Cup will be re-ignited this weekend with a pair of
events in Northern Ohio. Also returning to action will be the JLH General
