Say What!

“I think when you accomplish amazing things in the sport it is always surreal, You have to reflect, maybe when you’re older, but you’re so in the game right now and in tune with everything that is going on, just trying to compete night in and night out. It feels good to back it up. Obviously, anyone can have a magical one season, but to back it up like we did, it feels really accomplishing. Tod gives us everything that we need. There’s nothing that we don’t have,” Gravel said. “He doesn’t ride our butt every night in or night out, he lets us do our jobs and puts a lot of the control in Cody’s hands, in (his son) Taylor’s hands, and it just works out really, really well. He believes in us. He pays for us to do a good job, and I feel like we do that for him.” David Gravel wins his 2nd World of Outlaws championship

“You’ve really got to process the race pace,The engines were burning so much fuel. We were like a gallon a lap in the Dash there. We run a 30-gallon tank, so you’ve just got be be really tight on the fuel valve. I was really aggressive on my brakes trying to pick the idle up, keep my shocks warmed up, and then I had one of the best drivers in the country racing right beside me. I just wanted to set a really fast pace there after the fuel stop knowing we had a little extra fuel there to get to the end. It’s awesome to get to race in front of the best fans in the world.” Rico Abreu wins night 1 of the World of Outlaws World Finals at Charlotte NC
