  • Brock Zearfoss)The “Jonestown Jet” Brock Zearfoss and S&D Motorsport went toe to toe with some tough luck during the recent weekend, forced to conclude each of their starts at Perth Motorplex and Bunbury Speedway short of expectation. In fact, mechanical woes were the culprit in the aforementioned double, breaking a right rear shock stud on Friday and a birdcage – while running second – on Saturday. Driving the U3, he won the Merger Contracting Sprintcar Muster from fellow American Cole Macedo and national champion James McFadden. The Super Sportsman were the premier division, drawing over 50 cars most nights. That is the simplest way to sum up Kyle Larson’s raid on Australian sprintcar racing when he won the finale of High Limit International: Perth at the Perth Motorplex on Tuesday night, taking the $110,000 bounty. The highest paying weekend on asphalt continues with $50,000 on the line for the Winged Sprint Cars. The Larry Trigueiro Memorial for Super Modifieds will pay a record $10,000 to win. In addition to its NASCAR-focused efforts, the Mooresville, N.C.-headquartered organization will campaign a 410 winged sprint car entry full time for the 66-race Kubota High Limit Racing series with standout open-wheel pilot Giovanni “Gio” Scelzi. The team will work closely with Clauson Marshall Racing and chase the division’s 2026 championship. Celebrated crew chief Eric Prutzman, who won six consecutive national championships with driver Brad Sweet, has joined Spire Motorsports and will lead the team’s efforts during the upcoming season.
