The Selinsgrove Speedway Honored him the best way the could. By making the 41st running for the Jim Nace Selinsgrove National Open not just a race. But an event. With a pig roast, local band Rasing Kane playing a pre race concert and nearly $50,000 in total money on the line. It was well worth the year layoff from the National Open. When it came down to it, just like Jim would time and time again. The best car won as Dillsburg’s Anthony Macri picked up his 4th Jim Nace Selinsgrove National Open presented by BSC Mechanical on Sunday night tying the late Greg Hodnett for 2nd most all time National Open Wins.Central PA 9/15

• Allegheny Sprints)The opening night of the Commonwealth Clash at the Lernerville Speedway brought twenty Allegheny Sprint Tour competitors to the Sarver Oval. Kasey Weaver in the 4W from Everett, PA, led from the pole for his first AST victory at Lernerville. Race Results 9/15

• VSS)Langley Speedway Hampton, Va. Chris Humblet made some changes after his heat race which proved to be the right ones as he flew to the win at Langley Speedway. Heats started the race night with Billy Hubbard and Aaron Leach taking wins. Jerald Harris and Chris Humblet paced the field to green with Humblet out first and Harris falling in behind with Billy Hubbard quickly in third. Humblet stayed strong out front as Harris was not liking his tire choice as Hubbard got by and went after Humblet. Humblet was starting to hit traffic as the laps click by quick on pavement races and with five to go Hubbard was right with him. With two to go Hubbard was really making a charge and got within a couple car lengths but that was going to be it as they both flashed under the waving checkered flag one and two for Humblet’s second win of the season at Langley. At the line it was Chris Humblet, Billy Hubbard, Matthew Leach, Aaron Leach, Matt Mullins, Bill Mullis, Daren Bolac, Caleb Harris, Jerald Harris, John Smith, Jimmy Humblet and Chris Ware. Just last weekend, the series invaded the historic half-mile Williams Grove Speedway with 24 IMT USAC machines on hand. Point leader Steven Drevicki of Reading, PA, powered from sixth starting spot to steal the late-race lead from Chris Allen Jr.. The race wasn’t without fireworks, as Kyle Spence rallied from 12th to a hard-charging fourth. It was 2018 when Cummins drove to victory in the non-winged portion of the Jesse Hockett-Daniel McMillin Memorial.
